CHORALE NIRVANA!

Here's my favorite choir "The Madz" singing "We Beheld Once Again the Stars" by Z. Randall Stroope.  It's their winning piece for the 2007 European Grand Prix for Choral Singing.

Heavenly! Have a listen!

Travelling Boy by Paul Williams

traveling boy Paul williams -
Wake up my love beneath a midday sun
Alone once more alone
This traveling boy was only passing through
But he will always think of you

One night of love beside a strange young smile
As warm as I have known
A traveling boy and only passing through
But one who'll always think of you

Take my place out on the road again
I must do what I must do
Yes I know we were lovers
But a drifter discovers
That a perfect love won't always last forever

Well I won't say that I'll be back again
But time will tell the tale
So no good-byes from one just passing through
But one who'll always think of you

This traveling boy was only passing through
But I will always think of you

They Don't Make Great Songs Like They Used To!

I've just discovered Paul Williams.  I've been hearing his songs all my life. Didn't know who made them before. Have a listen!

Thinking of Getting Away from it All!

I've been looking for this movie for ages.  Last time I watched this I think I was 10 years old.  I specially like the part when he gets out of the bubble and looks around.  Made me feel peaceful.

What would they say
If we up and ran away
From the roaring crowds
And the worn out city faces
Would they carry on and on
When they found out we were gone
Or would they let us go
Would they tag along
Or would they know to

Leave us alone
We'd live in the country
Leave us alone
We'd make it just fine
Happy in a one room shack
And we'd not look back
Now would we

What would they do
If they found out we were through
With all the little lies
And the downtown aggravations
That we'd traded them away
For a quiet country day
That we had hoped to share
Would they try to find out
Where we were or

Leave us alone
We'd live in the country
Leave us alone
We'd make it just fine
Happy in a one room shack
And we'd not look back
Now would we

What would they say
If we up and ran away
Ran away

On A Clear Day You Can See Forever.

I Think I've Fallen In Love with Yves Montand! This is such a great movie for quiet afternoons. Suddenly I'm missing someone Totally!

HE ISN’T YOU

From On A Clear Day You Can See Forever

MELINDA (DAISY)
How could I be this at ease with him?
Pour out my heart as I please with him?
He isn’t you...He isn’t you...
When will I feel so in bloom again?
When will a  voice warm the room again?
He isn’t you...He isn’t you...
Memories may fade in the shadows behind me
But there’ll be the dream
That will always remind me - a dream that
I'll be forever comparing him to...
For love me, he may even die for me
Sweep every cloud from the sky for me
He may be king,
But he’ll never be you...
