LIFE, DEATH AND ALL THE ANGST IN BETWEEN

Reverie - Adriano Jordao

A friend's father died recently and I got to thinking of how life goes by

like a flash in the eye.  How one should say what one really wants so that

everything is crystal clear to the other. How a moment could be so fleeting

that one has to make the most of it or it's gone forever.

Or one can never get it back the same way.  It's so easy to get lost in life's

noisiness.

Life gets in the way sometimes... You forget to take in the details.

Details like when a person smiles - and what it meant to them.

Why someone does  something a certain way.

Time Travels.  Snap! Then that person whose been the whole

world for you suddenly ups and leaves.

Not saying anything even to help you achieve some form of closure.

Got me thinking into savoring each moment as it comes.

Enjoying that pint of  Ice cream or just taking it all in.

The climax in a movie. How peaceful the air smells after rain.

Or to really listen to a beautiful piece of music and appreciate it.

That moment when laughter becomes a cackle.

"Laughter that comes from belly up", as I recall a friend once described it.
